to writers who feel stuck

Right now, this very morning, buried inside you, is the courage to put down on paper the words that you know will be less than perfect. Words you will instantly know to be less than the vision you have in your mind. Words and sentences and ideas that may be, let’s face it, downright bad.
Hear me now, Story-Kind. The rocky, dirt onramp of bad is the only way to the smoothly paved highway of good.
Write your vomit-y most today. Not your best: your MOST.
And I do mean TODAY. Right now. As soon as you can. Blast through the reluctance you feel (later I'll do it later). For your reluctance IS the way towards your vision. It just won’t feel like it in the moment. Not right away.
But the dawn is coming. By summoning your courage to begin putting one wobbly foot in front of another - today and tomorrow and tomorrow - I can 1000% assure you that your feeling of flow will come. The very best feeling of all - when your unconscious mind hands you unexpected baubles and gifts and surprises that you never expected to receive when you woke up that morning - that grateful and inspired feeling awaits you.
That feeling has been geotargeted, my friends. Its precise location has been scientifcally determined. It exists in one place only: on the other side of bad.
Give me your MOST today, Story-Kind! Your best is but a few miles ahead of you, looking down at its watch, tapping its feet, waiting impatiently for you to arrive.
